“社会工作”新定义小议

2014年7月,在澳大利亚墨尔本市召开的国际社工联全体会议上,国际社工联对“社会工作”做出了新定义,其英文原文是＂Social work is a practice-based profession and an academic discipline that promotes social change and development, social cohesion, and the empowerment and liberation of people. Principles of social justice, human rights, collective responsibility and respect for diversities are central to social work. Underpinned by theories of social work, social sciences, humanities and indigenous knowledges, social work engages people and structures to address life challenges and enhance wellbeing.＂ 国内有人将其译为“社会工作是以实践为基础的职业,是促进社会改革和发展、提高社会凝聚力、赋权并解放人类的一门学科。社会工作的核心准则是追求社会正义、人权、集体责任和尊重多样性。”
