| Abstract: | Phonemes, as basic and abstrat units in a language, are systematic units to distinguish sounds and meanings. Usually they appear in predictable phonetic variants caned allophones. The concept of minimal pairs can help understand which sound is a phoneme, but,while ldentifying Phonemes, People have to obey at least three principles: phonetic similarity,complementary distribution and neatness of pattern. |
