1950年《婚姻法》及其引发的社会变革——纪念1950年《婚姻法》颁布60周年

1950年《婚姻法》的颁布实施,不仅是中国传统婚姻家庭制度的深刻革命,同时也是一场涉及个人生活、社会秩序乃至国家制度安排的重大社会改革,更是中国妇女人权发展史上的里程碑。新《婚姻法》颁布后,中央人民政府运用教育的、行政的和法律的手段,从上至下开展了全国性的宣传、教育以及严惩犯罪行为的活动,积极健康的婚姻新风尚开始出现。《婚姻法》颁布后的一段时期内,由于封建婚姻观念和诸多社会条件的制约,不少地区仍有一些消极落后的婚姻现象存在,甚至有不少妇女付出了沉重的代价。这说明,现代婚姻制度的真正建立需要一个历史过程。

The 1950＂Marriage Law＂ not only ignited a revolution to the traditional Chinese marriage and family system,but also ushered in dramatic changes in personal life,social order and institutional arrangement.It was a milestone in the development history of women＇s rights.After the law was promulgated,the central government used educative,administrative and legal means to launch a nationwide campaign of educating and publicizing as well as punishing those with criminal activities that new healthy marriages began to appear.However,out-of-date marriages still existed in many regions because of the lingering feudal marriage views and many social conditions,which had even forced women to pay a heavy price within a time after the promulgation.This shows that the establishment of a modern marriage system was a long-term process.
