The Relationship between Imitative Technological Innovation and Core Competence

Core competence is considered the resource of continuous competitive dominance by many people since 1990s. It is also popularly believed that technological innovation is the key to form core competence. When an enterprise lackes of the ability of innovation by itself, an imitate strategy is available. The relationship between technological innovation and cooperation core competence is discussed, especially the approach and process to form the core competence through imitative technological innovation. Some problems that should be considered during the process of imitative innovation are also illustrated.
