语言风格学之观念与方法

语言风格学是一门新兴的学科 ,它是语言学和文学相结合的产物。换句话说 ,它是利用语言学的观念与方法来分析文学作品的一条新途径。原本广义的语言风格学包含了一切语言形式的风格 ,既涵盖口头语言 ,也涵盖书面语言 ,既处理文学语言 ,也处理非文学语言 ,而“风格”也包含了体裁风格 (或文体风格 )、时代风格、地域风格、个人风格诸方面。目前对于语言风格学的探讨 ,多半采狭义的 ,把关注的焦点放在文学作品的个人风格上。每个文学家、每个诗人造语言、驱遣语言的方式不尽相同 ,这就是个人风格之所在 ,语言学者正是由此而具体地说出作品的语言风格。

The Concept of and Approaches to the Linguistic Stylistics

As a new branch of knowledge,the linguistic stylistics is the combination of linguistics and literature.Put in a different way,it marks a new approach towards literature by adopting the relevant principles and methods of linguistics.The traditional linguistic stylistics,broad in its sense,has observed language of different forms,oral and written,literary and nonliterary,and taken every conceivable style into consideration,the genre style and that of eras,regions and individuals.At present it adopts the narrow sense in its analysis and focuses on the individual style of literature.The idiosyncrasy of each writer,and poet in particular,in his wording and phrasing ,is where the individual style occurs,and provides the basis for the linguists in their effort to distinguish the style of a given text.
