Regularity and flexibility are the basic concepts of Chinese ancient philosophy. Both concepts are equally emphasized. We should maintain regularity; meanwhile, we should practice flexibility to ensure adaptability and sustainability. This is both a deeply-rooted value held by Chinese people and the most direct traditional origin of the spirit of "Advancing with the Times" put forward at the 16th national conference of CCP. Flexibility breaks through and challenges regularity, which reflects modern Chinese people's stressing regularity and flexibility equally.
