| Abstract: | By looking back the development of undergraduate courses of materials discipline in Chinese universities and examining existing conditions of the area, the paper presents experiences and lessons on the specialties arrangement of higher education in the country. Various schemes of the specialties arrangement are discussed with respect to the mentioned discipline. A concept of the matter is suggested that universities majoring in materials science and engineering be established and furthermore specialty aspects be set up in the universities proposed. |
