跨文化交际与翻译

跨文化交际包括宏观跨文化交际和微观跨文化交际。对跨文化交际的研究又称之为显学。跨文化交际自古有之,但在经济全球化的背景下,跨文化交际的活动日益频繁。跨文化交际又和翻译活动紧密相连,没有跨文化交际的需要,就不会有翻译;反之,没有翻译,跨文化交际就无法正常开展和进行。在经济全球化背景下,我们对跨文化交际特别是东西方文化的碰撞、交流和融合以及对翻译工作要有清醒的认识。我们既要学习西方文化的精髓,又要保持和发扬中华文化的优秀传统。

Cross-Cultural Communication and Translation

Cross-cultural communication is studied differently at macro-level and micro-level.The study of it is also called Xian studies.Cross-cultural communication,which began early since ancient times,becomes increasingly frequent against the background of economic globalization.It is closely connected with translation;without the need of cross-cultural communication,there could have no translation,nor could cross-cultural communication be successfully conducted without translation.Against the background of economic globalization,we should be fully aware of the function of cross-cultural communication,esp.the conflicts and exchanges between Western and Eastern cultures,the mixture of both and the work of translation.We should both learn the essence of Western culture and keep up the splendid cultural tradition of China.
