| 摘 要： | 赵元任语言学生涯中最杰出的贡献当属现代汉语方面的成就。他以北京音系为基础,使用西方历史比较语言学和中国传统考据学等学科统一了汉语语音,并采用五度标音等方法来揭示其字调语调的特殊性,他借助美国结构主义语言学的理论全面系统地分析并确立了现代汉语语法。赵元任的成果促进了国内外汉语教学和研究的发展以及民族素质的提高,弥补了美国结构主义语言学在语音研究方面的不足。
