| Abstract: | Semantic comprehension and contextual analysis are the two important tasks that a translator has to take up first and deal with properly in the process of translation. Focusing on the application of semantic comprehension and contextual analysis in the study of accurate translation, this paper illustrates this point with a considerable number of concrete examples. The conclusion is that accuracy in semantic comprehension makes translation accurate while correctness in contextual analysis renders translation coherent. |
