| 摘 要： | 英国殖民统治时期,一些在印度的推力和新加坡的引力综合作用下,印度人以契约劳工或自由移民的身份来到新加坡,在市政工程、服务行业以及商业中扮演了重要角色,为英国殖民统治时期的新加坡实现经济的持续发展和繁荣做出了一定的贡献。

| Abstract: | During the British colonization period,some Indians,either contract labors or free migrants,came to Singapore due to the combination of push and pull factors.Largely involved in the municipal projects,service industry and business operation,they contributed a lot to the steady economic growth and prosperity in Singapore during the British colonization period. |
