| 摘 要： | 以赛义德的东方主义理论为基础,解读谭恩美作品中的东方主义元素与反东方主义元素,进而指出谭恩美的双重文化身份是造成其作品中国时存在这两种元素的主要原因.作为一名华裔叙事者,谭恩美生于美国,长于美国.由于对美国文化的认同和对中国文化的疏离,她在创作中常常站在西方的立场上.用东方主义的眼光看待自己的母亲及其所代表的中国文化.但同时,作者的华裔身份,使她对中国又有着难以割舍的感情,因此在她的作品中往往又呈现出与美国白人文学传统中不一样的华人形象.另外,作者通过母女和解的情节设置表达了希望消除种族对立的美好愿望.
