| 摘 要： | 姓名是一个代码,是人在社会上的一种称谓。但是由于其使用者的原因,某些姓名已经不再仅仅是某些人的代称了,而是成为被人们广泛接受的具有一定意义的普通词。这类词的来源很广泛,如:源自著名的文学作品;源自《圣经》中的人物;源自发明人;源自历史人物或源自神话、传说与童话。懂得姓名的引申意义对于扩大词汇量,了解西方文化具有很深远的意义。

| Abstract: | It is known that name is the code and title which people use in society.But some names are used wide- ly because of the users.As a result,they are changed into the common words with specific meanings.These words derive from various sources:literature,Bible,inventor,historical figures or fairy tales,legends and children's sto- ries.Therefore,it is significant to understand extended meaning of names.It can help not only enlarge vocabulary but also learn about western culture. |
