跨文化交际理论从欧洲中心多中心演进探析

跨文化交际学滥觞于20世纪50年代末。在半个世纪的发展过程中,跨文化交际理论经过60-70年代局部、零散的研究以及80-90年代的拓展与整合,现已具备较高的系统性,出现了一些影响广泛的经典理论。跨文化交际理论首先针对的是最为根本、尖锐的文化差异问题,然后延伸到调整、能力、价值、身份与意义等方面。长期以来,以欧洲为中心的范式一直主导着跨文化交际研究。最近,学者们开始对欧洲范式的偏见与缺憾进行反思,提出非洲中心观与亚洲中心观,范式问题已经被提上研究议程。本文以跨文化交际学核心议题的形成、扩展、深化和整合为线索,全面检视该学科理论研究在过去半个世纪中的得失。
