论宋太祖制御边将的两手策略

On Emperor Song Taizu's Dual Tactics of Managing the Commanders of Border-Guard Forces

In early Song Dynasty,Emperor Song Taizu carried out the policy of "consolidating the central power",to strengthen the new regime and continuing the Unification Wars.At the same time,he deployed a large number of troops in the border areas.In order to manage these commanders of border-guard forces,he adopted dual tactics,which are different from the one he used in the inland areas.In general,the key feature of his officer–managing strategy was that he indulged them financially and controlled them strictly politically.This strategy had an important and far–reaching influence during and after the reign of Emperor Song Taizu in the Song Dynasty.
