博学卓识,不倦追求--记赵俪生先生献身教育事业的一生

赵俪生先生年轻上大学时便崇信了马列主义,参加过共产党领导下的“12·9”爱国学生运动和抗日游击战争;并是左翼作家联盟的活跃分子。中晚年,先生转入了史学和哲学研究。赵先生还是一位深受学生喜爱的杰出教师,与某些重科研轻教学的学人不同,他历来把教书育人视为自己学术生命的一部分,其教学内容、方法、效果和在培养人才方面所取得的成绩都是辉煌的和有口皆碑的。

Learned Sagacity, Tireless Pursuit--Zhao Li-sheng's Life Dedicated to Educational Undertaking

When he was at college, Mr. Zhao Li-sheng accepted Marxism and took part in the Decem-ber 9th Movement and anti-Japanese guerrilla war lead by the Chinese Communist Party. He was also an activist of the Left-wing Writer League. In his middle and late years, Mr. Zhao turned to the studies of history and philosophy and made great achievements. Being an educationist, Mr. Zhao was deeply loved by his students. Unlike those who attach importance to research work alone, he always saw knowledge impartment and cultivation as a part of his life. The content of his courses, the method he employed, the effect he achieved, all won him great respect.
