| Abstract: | Pelicles was an outstanding Athenian leader of democratic Party and was also a famous general.People used to attach importance to his democratic reforms,but overlooked the study of his military ideas.Pelicles' thought of wisdom and courage was the key to winning wars,and that a person couldn't be free and happy without the national independence.He advocated the idea of strengthening union, defences and clearing the fields and taking advantage of navy to defeat enemy. |
