瞿昙寺衰落原因分析

瞿昙寺是明朝在西北地区支持、利用藏传佛教的典型,明王朝不仅封授了其许多很高的头衔,还确定了其区域性政教合一的统治.然而到了清朝,瞿昙寺的势力渐渐被削弱,并最终被取缔其政教合一的统治,其在这一地区的影响也日趋下降.笔者拟从五个方面分析瞿昙寺衰落的历史原因.

Analysis on the Decline Reasons of Qutan Temple

Qutan Temple is the typical one of supporting and using Tibetan Buddhism in the northwest region in Ming Dynasty . The Ming Dynasty not only granted it a lot of high title, but also identified the regional rule of politics and religion. However, up to the Qing Dynasty, the power of temple was gradually weakened and eventually eliminated the rule of politics and religion, its influence in the region have gradually decreased.
