略论黄遵宪对中日文化同源性的关注

中日两国向称“同文同种”之邻邦,其文化有明显的同源性,尤以汉字及汉字文化(儒家文化)对日本的影响最为深远。近代名人黄遵宪在出任驻日使馆参赞时,对这一问题十分关注,特别对汉字的命运做了深刻的反思,在我国近代最早提出文字和文学语言的改革问题。黄遵完对中日文化同源性的考察与思索,既宏远深切,又平允通达,有许多识见颇可供今人参考。

On Huang Zun-xian's Concern about the Cognate Nature between the Chinese and Japanese Cultures

China and Japan are always called the neighboring countries with "the same culture and race", and their cultures have an outstanding cognate nature among which the Chinese characters (Confucius culture) influenced Japan the most. When Huang Zun-xian held the post of counselor to the Chinese embassy in Japan, he was greatly concerned with this issue. Reflecting deeply upon the fate of the Chinese characters , he unprecedentedly put forward the issue of the reformation of the Chinese characters and literary language. Huang Zun-xian's investigation and probe into the cognate nature between Chinese and Japanese cultures is broad, deep, plain and philosophical, and many of them can still be a reference for the modern age.
