文学活动中作家与批评家的自由与不自由

在文学活动中,作家可以随心所欲地创造形象,从这个角度看,他是自由的。但是另一方面,他的思想感情只能通过形象而不能直接地表达出来,从这个角度看,他又是不自由的。批评家恰好相反,他的批评活动只能依据文学形象进行,从这个角度看,他是不自由的。但另一方面,批评家在批评的时候,能够对形象所表达的思想进行多方面的挖掘,充分地发挥自己的主观能动性,从这个角度看,他又是自由的。
