| 摘 要： | 本文论述了我国具有优秀文化传统的地方志的起源、历代方志的编修及发展概况，对各代主要地方志编纂成果进行了分析评估，指出了党的十一届三中全会后，为适应改革开放、建设社会主义物质文明和精神文明的需要，继承发扬祖国优秀文化传统，在全国掀起大规模的编修社会主义新地方志的必要性和重要性，以及特点和意义
