民间传统体育赛事在湘西经济和社会发展中具有重要的地位和作用，因其本身拥有大量的有形与无形资产，所以，具有一定的商业价值可供有意向者去开发。但是，从目前的情况来看，湘西州的体育赛事是按照计划经济模式的操作来运行的，也就造成了许多无形经济价值的浪费。因此，应当加强政府的扶持力度，完善赛事的管理体制，大力培养高水平的体育赛事经营人才，并有效地发挥中介组织的作用，加大赛事产品的销售。

Folk traditional sports events play an important role and have a considerable position in Xiangxi's economic and social development,they also own some commercial value which is a large number of tangible and intangible assets for development. However, long-time operation system manipulation according to the planned economy mode has caused serious waste of its potential value. Therefore, the government should take the following measures, such as strengthening the support for folk traditional sports events, perfecting their management system, bringing out the role of intermediary organizations effectively, as well as increasing product sales and cultivating high- level management talents in sports game.
