A Chinese-English Collection of the Best Chinese Traditional Primers, compiled by Prof. Guo Zhuzhang, was published in May, 2004 by Wuhan University Press. The 10 passages in the series were selected from among numerous readings of classic primers written by well-known Chinese scholars, philosophers and educators of different times. The books have the following characteristics: 1) In terms of content, they are enlightening and instructive; 2) Each part is arranged in such a way that readers find it easy and convenient to have a comparative study of the classic and modern Chinese and the English version; 3)The English translation manifests high professionalism and artistry on the part of the translator.
