He was President of the International Biometric Society from 1978 to 1979 and President of the Royal Statistical Society, 1985 to 1986. He was awarded the Guy Medal in Silver from the Royal Statistical Society in 1977 and elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1981. He has been awarded the Guy Medal in Gold in 2005. |
