A Critical Review of Eryuehe's Serial Novels on the Qing Emperors

The novel series on the Emperors of the Qing Dynasty by Eryuehe, which total 13 volumes and (5300 000) words, have drawn wide attention from literary critics. In an effort to counteract the withering of humanistic spirit and abnormalized value system that prevails, Eryuehe devotes himself to pursuit and reconstruction of Meaning. Yet he is not so sure as to what extent his efforts will be acknowledged. Hence, he adds some post-modernistic elements to his realist works.
