| 摘 要： | 关于英语情态动词过去时形式是否有“时”的标记有两种不同的观点。通过反驳无时态论观点从而论证过去情态动词具有过去时态,并通过语义分析、示例用法,进一步阐述了情态动词在形与义都具有时态的特征。

| Abstract: | There are different opinions about whether the past tense form of English modals expresses the past tense.Through arguing against the non-tense view,analyzing the semantics and providing the examples of how modals are used,the essay proves that the past tense form of English modals have the feature of tense in both form and meaning. |
