The Development of Stylistic Characteriscs and the Evolving of Ancient Novels

The inherent reason that Chinese novels appear late maturing is that the literary form of novel itself develops very slowly, and during the time of development of Chinese novel, it evolves without connecting with the mainstream of Chinese literature, and without forming a stable and clear stylistic criterion from beginning to end, so as to hold up it to become a maturing literary form on the whole.
