关于高校图书馆对外开放问题的思考*

高校图书馆对外开放的问题由来已久。在图书馆信息资源电子化、数字化、网络化的进程中，高校图书馆在虚拟空间的开放不仅是可能的而且是必然的；而在传统的业务部分，即文献的借还和阅览等部分，高校图书馆要否开放、怎样开放，则需视高校的客观条件而定。从长远看，随着信息技术推动的信息传输与接受的方式的变革，高校图书馆最终会走向彻底的开放。

Thoughts on the Opening of College Libraries

Whether to open the college libraries to public has been under discussion for a long time. In the process of information electronization, digitalization and networking, it is not only possible but also indis-pensible to open the virtual space of library; but in the part of traditional business, whether to open the li-braries and how to open the libraries is decided by individual college and university. In the long run, with the development of information transmission and reception, the college library will be ultimately opened to the public.
