儒家的德性伦理与现代社会

摘    要:儒家伦理是一种德性伦理,但具有“共时性”特征及普遍理性精神。德性不是客观化的知识系统,也不是纯粹经验的集合,而是人的生命存在及其自觉(即反思理性)。德性的实现不仅体现了历史的目的性,而且体现了自然的目的性。德性伦理的核心是仁德,其表现形态则是境界。儒学是一个开放的系统,可以融入竞争时代并在新的竞争中形成新的和谐,从而满足人们的情感需要。人的社会角色是历史的、变化的,但人作为德性主体生活在世界上,并以此为基础处理人与人、人与自然的关系,这一点是永远不能改变的。完成德性,提高境界,这就是真正的人生。儒家伦理的现代意义就在于此。

Abstract:The Confucian ethics is an Oriental ethics of virtue. The virtue is neither a system of objectified knowledge, nor an assemblage of pure experiences. It is rather the existence of the human life, and self-awareness of this life, or the reflective reason. The realization of virtue not only embodies the purpose of history, but also embodies the purpose of nature. The core of the Confucian ethics is the virtue of' ren' (benevolence), and its expressive pattern is' jing jie' (the extent which a mind reaches). The Confucian theory is an open system, which has the character of elasticity and includability. It can be melted into the era of competitions and will fulfil its new harmony during new competitions, so as to satisfy the affectional need of people. Man always hopes to live a better and more meaningful life, and it will never change that man lives in the world as the subject of virtue and, based on this, man deals with the relations between man and man, and between man and nature, though man's social roles change historically. It is the real human life to fulfil his virtue and lift his virtue. This is the modern meaning of the Confucian ethics.
