| 摘 要： | 语言是随着社会的发展而发展的,英语新词汇的不断涌现反映了词汇是语言中最活跃的因素。社会的变革、科技的发展、思维的活跃和观念的更新,都会在词汇中迅速反映出来,其突出表现是新词语所出现的新义及其新的用法。为了全面了解英语中出现的新词汇,本文拟从社会语言学视角对英语新词新语产生的各种因素作一考察。
