Abstract: | In recent years multidimensional scaling and conjoint measurement have provided a variety of techniques for data analysis and display. This paper applies some of these procedures to the portrayal of individuals' perceptions and attitudes toward intracity transportation modes and mode users. Conjoint measurement is compared to the experimental vignette as a way to measure the components of status impressions in the context of transportation mode selection. |
