新古典现实主义理论的贡献与缺失

冷战结束以来,面对理论解释上的困境,新古典现实主义者在继承古典现实主义理论内核的同时,将国内政治因素引入现实主义范式中,结合结构层次分析、单元层次和个人层次分析,大胆提出了新的理论分析框架。新古典现实主义的上述努力有助于缓和现实主义内部的争论,弥补结构现实主义在政策分析问题上的不足,而且也为现实主义的发展开拓了新的空间,增强了对外部理论批判的承受能力。但由于新古典现实主义借鉴了其他理论的分析变量,损害了现实主义理论的纯洁性。其对国内政治因素的过度强调,也失去了现实主义的简约性。新古典现实主义尚不具备成为一个成熟的国际关系理论的条件

The Contribution and Defect of Neo-Classical Realism

Since the end of the Cold War,in order to get rid of the dilemma in explanation,Neoclassical Realists introduced domestic factors into realism paradigm while inherits the core elements of Classic Realism.After combining the analysis of the structure level,unit level and personal level,Neoclassical Realists boldly put forward a new analytical framework.Such efforts will not only help to alleviate the internal disputes of realism and make up the insufficiency of Structural Realism's in policy explanation,but help to exploit new space for the development of Realism and strengthen its endurance to external theoretical criticism. However,due to borrowing from the analytical variables of other theories,Neoclassical Realism has damaged Realism's purity.Its excessive emphasis on domestic factors has affected the Realism's conciseness.Neoclassical Realism has not gt reached the stae of a mature international theory.
