传统儒学对现代民主理论的“兼容”与改进——以个体自我的理解为基点

通过对融贯传统儒学与现代民主理论所必备的理论基点,即如何对个体自我进行理解展开反思,提出传统儒学与实用主义、社群主义民主理论在个体自我的时间、空间、身份与角色四个向度上共享诸多理解。这些理解共识,在为传统儒学与现代民主理论的"兼容"提供智识资源之同时,亦对克服自由主义契约民主模式的相关弊端提供改进可能。

The Compatibility of Traditional Confucianism with Modern Democratic Theories and Its Possible Improvement:Based on the Interpretations of Individual Self

The interpretation of individual self is the essential starting point for the probe into the theoretical compatibility of traditional Confucianism with modem democratic theories. After a deep reflection to the interpretation of individual serf, this article argues that the traditional Confucianism shares many common interpretations of Individual Self with Democratic Theories of Pragmatism and Communitarianism from the following four dimensions of Time, Space, Status and Role. Meanwhile, this article holds that these common interpretations can further supply some vital disadvantage- overcoming possibility and theoretical improvements to the Liberal Contractual Democratic Theory.
