Interview with Maxine Womble Regarding the National Black Alcoholism Council

Maxine Womble is the Chairperson for the National Black Alcoholism Council (NBAC), a voluntary, nonprofit organization which was incorporated in 1979. NBAC is dedicated to addressing the needs and concerns of Blacks through the promotion and support of activities aimed at the prevention and treatment of alcoholism. NBAC works with government agencies and private organizations as well as community groups and alcoholism professionals to facilitate alcoholism education and training in effective intervention and treatment modalities.
