英汉隐喻认知缺失翻译研究

隐喻是人类语言的普遍现象，更是人类认识自身与所处世界的重要的认知方式。英汉隐喻植根于各自鲜明的文化中，尽管存在很多相似处，但不同的民族文化和风俗习惯产生了特定的认知特点，导致英汉隐喻认知缺失。译者在弥补认知缺失的基础上，需完成源域到目标域的映射，达到尽量保留隐喻特征，准确恰当地传达喻意和文化内涵。

Translation Study on Cognitive Absence in English and Chinese Metaphors

Metaphor is the common phenomenon of human language and plays as the important cognitive way by which human could understand themselves and the world around. Metaphors of English and Chinese have been deeply ingrained in their dis- tinctive cultures. In spite of the similarity, different culture and customs exert significant influence on its characteristic, which leads to cognitive absence. Building on making up for the cognitive absence, translators should pay attention to the mapping between source domain and target domain so as to retain the characteristic and transmit the culture connotation properly.
