Abstract: | Seven opioid treatment programs (OTPs) at 12 locations in New York state will participate in a study that uses telemedicine to integrate the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) and hepatitis C virus (HCV). The goal is to achieve better outcomes by delivering HCV treatment on‐site via telemedicine, instead of referring out. It makes sense that this would be more effective than sending patients elsewhere, but the study needs to be done. |
