| Abstract: | Pragmatic failures can be divided into two kinds: pragmalinguistic breakdown and sociopragmatic breakdown. Only if language learners lay stress on developing their pragmatic competence can they avoid these failures. And the improvment of the pragmatic competence may be got by bringing in more pragmatic knowledge, fostering culture sense, strengthening the practicality of language. In this way,the communication aim of language can be reached then. |
