加强农民素质教育促进新农村建设

新农村建设的主力军是农民,农民问题特别是农民素质问题,是影响和制约着中国新农村建设的根本问题,没有高素质的新农民,根本谈不上新农村。因此,发展农村教育,提高农民素质就显得极为重要。提高农民素质不仅事关我国新农村建设,也是新农村建设的一个重要内涵。文章通过对我国农民教育和农民素质教育现状的分析,进而提出了我国当前发展农村教育,提高农民素质的建议。

IMPROVE THE EDUCATION OF FARMERS TO PROMOTE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SOCIALIST COUNTRYSIDE

Farmers are the main force in the construction of the new socialist countryside in the new era.Issues concerning farmers,especially those concerning their education,are of fundamental significance and are closely related to such factors as ideology,politics,economy,culture,and social life.They exert a crucial impact upon the construction of the new countryside.There would be no construction of the new countryside without adequately educated farmers;and there would be no agricultural modernization without the modernization of farmers' mind.Hence,to cultivate well-educated farmers is not only one of the most important tasks to be accomplished,but also the ultimate goal in the construction of the socialist countryside in the new era.
