论宣仁圣烈高太后

在宋王朝由繁荣走向衰落的转折时期,高后以太皇太后的身份听政。从元祐复杂政局中,可以更加客观辩证地评价高太后。高太后有功有过,她起用反变法派,废罢新法,使国内社会矛盾趋向缓和,社会秩序相对稳定,维护了宋王朝的发展与延续,但是元祐时期统治阶层内部党争激烈,对外妥协怀柔政策遭到失败,高太后有着不可推卸的责任。高太后个人品德优良,不能因众多的赞美之词,而抵消她元祐听政的缺憾。
