衣服通称的形成及其地域分布的成因试析

不同地区对衣服的通称不同,这些通称的词源义域也不尽相同。衣服通称义的形成和发展经历了四个阶段:1、单音词作通称。2、单音词组合作通称。3、单音词的组合逐渐凝固。4、双音词通称。这四个阶段正是汉语词汇复音化的完整历程,但从目前的共时分布来看,这一历程还在进行当中,这是语言发展的不平衡性体现,同时又跟社会历史发展密切相关。

A Research into formation of General Terms for Clothing and the Causes for Their Distributions

Different regions have different general terms for clothing and they have different regional connotations in etymology too. The formation and development of the general terms for clothing have experienced four stages: 1) Monosyllabic word as a general term; 2)A general term composed of monosyllable phrases; 3) The gradually established form of the monosyllabic compositions used as general term; 4) General terms of bisyllabic words. The four stages have seen the whole process of complex tone in Chinese lexicology. But from the present synchronic distribution, we can see the process is still on the way. It shows the unbalanced development of a language, and at the same time it shows the close relationship between language and society.
