Family-Centered Practice in the 1990s:

This paper presents a multicultural perspective for family-centered social work practice. Such a perspective uses ethclass and value orientation theory as sensitizing conceptual frameworks for understanding a family's cultural reality. This understanding, used by a multicultural practitioner, leads to the use of approaches most congruent with the multicultural world views of the families served.
