摘    要:具身认知本质上是大脑对多模态信息的加工过程,因而图像等异质模态与语言一样,可直接参与隐喻的认知表征。重新检视隐喻的表征过程,发现多模态隐喻的具身表征涉及形式表达、概念及认知情境三个不同的维度,因此"身体"在认知中的作用不能简单地一概而论:"感官"体验可在形式表达层产生知觉仿拟效果,影响多模态隐喻的识解方向;依托多样化的形式表达,"身体结构"通过"取象赋形"的认知操作偏离其原有意义而成为另有所指的表征符号;"场景"则在与身体的互动中形成认知语境,进而赋予符号新的所指内涵。

Abstract:Embodied cognition by nature is the processing of multimodal information,hence non-verbal modes like picture can directly join the cognitive representation of metaphor.Reconsidering the representation process of metaphor,we discover that the embodied representation of multimodal metaphor involves three dimensions,including the layer of form expression,cognitive layer and that of context.Hence,the roles of"body"in the embodied representation of multimodal metaphor cannot be viewed statically:alluding to the organizing function of bodily sensory channel,it could produce simulating effects in sensory representation;relying on the diversified means of representation,the referent of"body"gradually deviating from its original meaning,becomes a sign with another signified."Scenario",however,generate the cognitive context through the interaction with "body",where the sign is filled with newly referred meaning.
