“方城隘口”与战国秦汉政局

以"方城隘口"为核心的"方城道"是古代重要的交通系统,自古就是南北交通和文化交流的孔道;在中国内部东西对峙的形势下,还部分地决定当时中国的政局。秦崛起后,即经营"方城隘口",以图遏制楚国,并侧击韩、魏;秦末至西汉,其为关中防守体系的一部分;东汉时期,政治中心东移,又成为联系首都和西南地区的枢纽。但随着中国全局政治形势的变化,方城隘口和方城道的地位有所降低。
