| Abstract: | During the feudal society in West Europe, the relationship between clerical power and monarchical power is rather complicated. As time changed, the advantageous position alternated between them as one got the upper hand, while the other stood at the disadvantageous position at one time, and vice versa at another time in west European countries. |
