中国传统文化视角下赫索格“狂”性简析

从中国传统文化关于“狂”的视角,指出狂是赫索格真的表现,是赫索格逃避现实世界的方式,“书信”是赫索格的“狂想”和“狂言”。索尔·贝娄利用赫索格的狂,乘“信”以游心,构建了自由言说的境界,让个体生命在沉醉状态中以自我张扬的形式向现实世界发出心声,从而深刻揭露当代文明的种种弊端,表现当代入特别是知识分子的精神危机,展示主人公对人性的叩问与追寻,对人类社会何去何从的反思与探索。

Analysis of Herzog's madness from perspective of Chinese traditional culture

The paper, from the perspective of ＂madness＂ in Chinese traditional culture, revealed that it is the ＂madness＂ that represents Herzog＇s truthfulness and the outlet from which Herzog escapes from the reality and that the ＂mad＂ letters are the manifestation of his fantasy and wild statements. Meanwhile, Saul Bellow constructs a world of free speech with the help of the ＂letters＂ and the wild thoughts of Herzog. In his intoxication of ＂madness＂, an individual life gives vent to his feelings and thoughts to the real world. The corruptions in the modern civilization are exposed, and the spiritual crisis, especially among intellects is disclosed. The hero in his madness, however, persists in his questioning and pursuit of human nature, and never stops the emotional reflection and exploration on whither should go human beings.
