树立全球化时代的健康文化心态

今天 ,世界已发展到全球化阶段 ,当代中国的建设和发展 ,已不可能离开“全球化”的总体国际背景。全球化进程呼唤文化自觉 ,新的文化论争需要文化上的自知之明。在并非由我主导的全球化进程中 ,我们必须保持清醒的头脑 ,树立适应全球化时代的健康文化心态。这种文化心态是开放的而非封闭的 ,不是狭隘的文化民族主义 ,而只能是开放的文化天下主义 ;它既不自卑 ,也不自大 ;既有忧患意识 ,又有文化自信。这是建设有中国特色的社会主义文化 ,实现中华民族伟大复兴的必要前提。

Fostering a Wholesome Cultural Mind Towards Globalization

The world is now going into a stage of globalization. A modern China construction and development could not have this general background neglected. The progress of globalization urges cultural consciousness; and the discussion today on cultures demands a cultural self-knowledge. We must keep a cool head and attempt to foster a wholesome mind on culture to pick our steps on the inevitable course of globalization. The cultural mentality should not be a closed type, but an open one. It is not a cultural nationalism in a narrow sense. The Cultural cosmopolitanism is the unique choice. All what we want is a sense of concern about our culture and a sense of self-confidence of our culture, neither self-abased nor self-important. It is the prerequisite for establishing socialist culture with Chinese characteristic and bringing about the great revival of Chinese nation.
