| Abstract: | This article focuses on the study of the background and process of the battle of Helaidian be- tween Liaochen and Korea during early 12th century, and analyzes the so-called nine-town issues around the period of the battle. The author points out that Liaochen's winning of the battle prevented Korea from expanding to Northeast China, and thus contributed to the unification of Liaochen. |
