论水仙花《春香夫人及其他作品》中的“大同”社会理想建构

水仙花是评论界公认的北美亚裔文学的先驱。作为欧亚混血作家,水仙花不仅洞察到了其时代的种族问题,而且在其文本创作中致力于消除种族偏见和歧视,倡导建立一个种族平等与和谐的"大同"理想社会。本文结合水仙花所处时代的社会文化背景,从排他性区别的思维模式的解构和包容性区别的思维模式的建构两个方面,探讨水仙花在其作品中构建的"人性归一"的大同社会理想及其在当下的意义,指出水仙花构想的"大同"理想社会是以"人性归一"的理念为核心、以"世界一家人"为形式的乌托邦"理想世界"。

On the Construction of Utopian Community in Sui Sin Far’s Mrs.Spring Fragrance and Other Stories

Sui Sin Far has been recognized by critics as a pioneer North-American Asian writer.As a Eurasian writer,Sui Sin Far not only had insight into the issue of racism of her age,but also devoted herself to the fighting against racial discriminations with her pen,advocating the establishment of a utopian community where people of all races live harmoniously.In view of the social-cultural background,this paper intends,from the deconstruction of the thinking mode of exclusive discrimination and the construction of that of inclusive discrimination,to probe into Sui Sin Far’s imaginary community of "universality of human nature" in her fiction and its significance at present.It points out that the imaginary community Sui Sin Far conceived of is a utopian world with the idea of "universality of human nature" as its core and "one family" as its form.
