莱柯夫认知隐喻理论在英语词汇教学中的运用

摘    要:英语词汇教学是英语教学中的一个重点,也是一个难点。目前人们对它的研究也更为深入,不同的理论陆续应用于词汇教学。以应用为基础的(usage—based)认知语言学的日益完善,为英语词汇教学提供了理论基础。文章着重从认知语言学家莱柯夫提出的认知隐喻理论出发,阐释如何将该理论有效地应用于英语词汇教学,以提高教学效果。

Abstract:English vocabulary teaching is very important and difficult in teaching English as a foreign language. Nowadays, further studies have been made in this area. Different theories have been introduced into English vocabulary teaching. The well-formulated and usage-based cognitive linguistics provides the theoretical foundation for English vocabulary teaching. This paper intends to a give profound demonstration of how to apply Lakoff's metaphor theory to the teaching of English vocabulary with the hope of improving teaching effectiveness.
