| Abstract: | Both Chinese people and English people have accumulated profound cultural connotations during the history of their social development.As a result,the color words in each languages have accumulated a lot of symbol meanings as well.The present paper analyses the similarities and differences of the connotations and compares the symbol mean- ings of the color wonds between the Chinese and English. |
